  22. I'm running C-Kermit 6.0.192 for Linux (Version 2.0.29 running
  23. on a Pentium box) and have a problem getting it to hangup. I've
  24. written a script to download some binary files on a BBS. The
  25. script works fine up to the point when it says "quit" or
  26. "exit" at which point Kermit responds:
  27.
  28. A serial connection might still be active on /dev/modem.
  29. OK to exit?
  30.
  31. Kermit will not shut down until I have hit "y." I've tried
  32. sending "+++ath" instead of "hangup" and everything else I
  33. can think of.
  34.
  35. I need to run this script on a cron process so as to
  36. automatically update a web page. Obviously being forced to
  37. interact with the modem  is of no value.
  38.
  39. I would be most grateful for any advice.
  40.
  41. Thaks
